You can use twitter to drive new users to your blog or website.
There are many companies,
like Dell, that give exclusive discounts via twitter.
Woot.com has almost 400,000 followers on twitter and regularly posts great deals on all sorts of items. They often sell out of those items too - twitter does work for businesses.
The business model has already been established - Wayne could post a deal a week on a twitter account and get lots more eyes on his site as well as move a bunch of product.
Plus, you people who don't use Facebook much (like me) can use other services that you may use more frequently to automatically post to Facebook.
