I just pulled the trigger on an E39 , 528 sportwagen. Our old 960 volvo just crested 180,000 miles, and is starting to make some funny little engine noises. I am sure it will make it to 200,00, but I hate not having a nice reliable vehicle . My lady drives 60 miles a day into town and back, and we like to travel ,. I missed this car a month ago on ebay, and was bummed. Here this morning I see it shows up on e bay again. (dead beat bidder)
The exact car I wanted , black on black. sport package, some minor issues, 107,000 miles, a few minor issues, 5k
I work on these cars on a regular basis, and I have grown to love them. Easy to work on , reliable, run and drive great, easilly a 200k mile automobile.
This will mostly be the new family truckster, my lady will drive it most of the time. I will probably turn the volvo into my new work truck for the rental houses.
