My home is a 5 minute scooter ride from the Shanghai International Circuit. The ticket prices range anywhere from 700RMB to 3000+RMB for the weekend (100-450USD) but tickets can actually be bought last minute for about 300RMB (~40USD) or you can even grease the security guards to unlock an exit door and sneak you in. The circuit is incredible but the events are completely mismanaged, much like most things in China. You'd think they would capitalize (no pun int) on an event like this but concessions, beer, souvenirs etc. are completely lacking so it's a BYOB afternoon
