Years ago I needed a cup holder for my Jeep. I did a lot of off road driving. I went to a boating supply shop and got a great cupholder that swivels in all directions like a ships compass (2 independent, rotating rings) so the coffee is ALWAYS upright. I rigged a simple mount on the dash, but if I were to want the same thing in my 911, I would attach the holder to a mount that would stick into the cigarette lighter, so it would be removable.
Nautical cupholders are the best you can get in terms of no-spills.
