There is a very neat holder available from Tweeks that replaces the tape holder. I fitted it on my '91 C4 and it works just fine. When purist are around I fold it down and its not obvious. I don't think it was expensive, something around $50. As someone noted that predawn cup is imprtant! If you can't find it I'll try and find the records.
Caffeine has its place too...
