They were impressed by one of my friends and we started chatting. This whole account disperses until several hours later when one of my friends and I are sitting on a sofa downstairs, and one of the guys brings over a quite attractive girl, bombshell blond and says that I should really meet, he thinks we would get along great. Now this being what it was, predominately ladened by Suicide Girls (if you dont know who they are and you're at work I probably wouldnt go ahead and check out what its about until later) I expected nothing but hot air or a rambling of dislikes/likes that I wouldnt have any interest in. Surprisingly I was wrong, an Environmental Law grad student at a prestigious university downtown, socially impressive and I was, by all accounts, quite taken back.
So I end up with her number and ask her if she would mind if I took her out to dinner later in the week, she agreed and I walked back to my apartment. Over the next couple days as I find out more and more that intrigues me about her. So I end up meeting her downtown in the Loop at her school's library and we wander around for something to do on a Sunday (obviously nothing downtown) and finally settle on going back to my house to warm up and relax. Well our conversations progressed and were impressive, seeming to have clicked I moved in for a kiss. And we did, making out quite passionately for several minutes before we stop and she looks into my eyes and says... "I have a girlfriend". I was a bit confused, because frankly I was lead to believe that she was bi-sexual which isnt anything I was against but to my surprise she happened to be in a very serious relationship with a girl and hoped that she was bi because she was very interested in the idea. Sadly, no she was not bi but in fact very much a lesbian, which we joked on and on about all night.
I never have had a problem dating women but unfortunately of the ones I do date I have trouble finding them socially and provocatively intellectual, inspiring and interesting. Seems the one I do doesn't play the same kind of baseball I do, what a shame (though we continue to form a great friendship)... or for those reading this that are more internet savvy, a true FML.
