That is exactly the discussion that came up...a patron who is from Cali but here doing contract work made the statement he bought one of the first Glock's in the '80's and it was a total composite weapon and as such it cost him $3800. He went on about the ceramic barrel and composite springs, yadadadadada.
He's a nice guy and fairly bright...not one to just spout off BS. We all came to the conclusion that he may have in fact paid $3800 for his gun but was sold a bill of goods. And told him such.
Of course he has long since sold the gun so its no longer available for us to inspect.
