I take pride in keeping up my yard so that it stays nice. Most of my neighbors do too. I have a dog. I clean up after my dog. My neighbors have dogs. They clean up after their dogs. Well for about the last three weeks I've been finding two or three piles of dog ***** either on my lawn or the next door neighbors lawn. At first I didn't really think too much of it, thinking maybe my dog might have done it without me seeing it. Well this morning I'm reading the paper and see a new dog face in the hood. No one is around and its loose. I watch it take about a three pound growler on my next door neighbors front lawn. I go outside to chase it off and it runs around the corner. Our house has a business on one side and residential on the other. I figured I would do them a favor and clean it up. I go inside and get a poop bag and pick it up. As I'm walking to the garbage to throw it away I notice this guy standing there watching. (he is one of the people from the business next door) I said "Can I help you with something?" His response, "I'm just waiting for my dog." Me, "Is that your dog?" Him, "Yes" I think my blood boiled on the spot. I said "You think its okay to let your dog loose in the neighborhood and foul up everyone's lawn because you don't live here?" He obviously had no intention of cleaning it up. Meanwhile said dog is taking another crap at the next house while we are discussing this. This guy starts to walk away. NO WAY! I grabbed the bag of crap I had just picked up and handed it to him and told him that he had steaming pile #2 to clean up as well. I had another bag and gave it to him and watched him clean up the second mess. I can tell this is going to be the beginning of a great new relationship.
