Not knocking the 4bbl idea (ought to work as long as it's properly sized, which no 4bbl I can think of would be), but I wonder how this manifold accommodates the 911's engine's lateral expansion as it warms up. The porsche manifolds all seem to use some rubber connection between the 2 banks. This one is a welded up single item. Seems like it would generate high stresses in the manifold and at the intake to head joint when the engine expands.
Also, where is the sealing along the side of the engine? Is the recirculation of "used" (ie, hot) cooling air from the bottom of the engine not an issue in a race car?
