I figured maybe someone from the PNW or BC might know the answer to this, I'm looking at a ROW mid-'80s 911 in Canada that I would really like to bring into and register in the U.S. It's never been "federalised" for the U.S. but maybe Canada has some of the same requirements(?) I'll admit that I know zero about their laws.
I do know a little about bringing "grey market" ROW cars into the U.S. back in the '80s, I know that they had to be retro-fitted w/ all U.S. equipment and pass some sort of inspection besides having all customs papers in order, etc. I'm kind of hoping that there is an expiration involved when a car reaches a certain age or something, I don't mind paying the duty on it at the border. (Whatever that is).
