well after contacting an ex-cop here who runs a tactical store i know, he gave me some more insight on the VANGCOMP system.
he used to train officers in all aspects of firearms training and has been to gunsite up in paulden,az. gunsite's choice of snotgun is the 870 from ROBAR with the VANGCOMP system thrown in for good measure. so the reality is a customer goes to ROBAR or VANGCOMP who werk in cahoots with juan another and either way ya get the same thing from either company when all said and done.
now what he did emphasize was that muzzle flip is about gone with the porting. also he stated that recoil is diminished about 15%. muzzle flash is cut wayy down(somethang to think about if yer using fer home defense as once night vision is toast it takes awhile to regain).
now i have read various articles(scarey) and some have said up to 85% reduction in recoil using a knoxx/blackhawk spec-ops stock folded or fixed. knoxx states right on their adult-proof tamper proof packaging 65% reduction in recoil.
so lets say this is real(it aint) thats 65%+15%=80% reduction in recoil with VANGCOMP porting and using either a folded or fixed knoxx/blackhawk spec-ops stock.
well i have done the testing myself and it AINT 65%! i will say this it does reduce recoil ALOT! if pinned to the wall i might give it 35-40% tops in recoil reduction. so do the math using 40% + 15%(vang)=55% recoil reduction.
$240 for vang comp(im doing it WTF!)
$99 bucks -$129(midway) for the knoxx/blackhawk spec-ops stock folded or fixed.
i will say if skeptical like i was check out you-tube and watch a cast of characters shoot with these spec-ops stocks. seeing is believing. and i did slam quite a few zombee rounds of various flavors to say it does work well. of course this is IMHO! LOL!
i wonder if they will do juan for the remington SP-10 mutha of all snotguns??????????
