I agree with stomach monkey, the save was totally wasted on Matt. He clearly had no chance to win.
And tonights show was actually a LOT of manufactured drama, because in the past they would not have done it like this in the final 5. They deliberately did it this way to ramp up the drama and excitement, but this format actually favors lambert, since it will give his fans a massive wakeup call.
Everyone felt he was untouchable and cruising (seriously read any articles from this week, everyone that wrote one said Adam was the best one this week and was cruising, Vegas has his odds at a .8:1 payout) , and apparently his fans did too. Now they will have a fire lit and all vote like nuts. The judges were stunned. Paula, Kara and Randy all literally had dropped wide open jaws. As did i.
Chris and Allison have both already been bottom 3 before, it's no big deal. You just don't want to be bottom 1.
Fortunately for Adam, unlike Daughtry who was voted off in the top 4, his fans will get a 2nd chance to support him properly. I still fully expect him and Gokey in the finals, which is what Simon also predicted last week.
It was exciting though.....haha i'm such a teenaged chick for this show.
