Yes, the stock Recaro sidemounts give adequate clearance using the lower holes front and /or rear, the al. were fine out of the box, the steel have a very wide bottom flange that needs to be cut off

This is an SPG XL w/ Recaro steel side mounts, the base is pretty much the same as PP, also shown is a GT3 sub bar


The issue w/ these is for those w/ long legs, the Recaro sides when mounted as designed o/s the seat ~2 1/8" forward compared to BK. For a 34" inseam this is inadequate. Many w/ long legs mount them backward, which presents some other relatively minor issues.
