You could and probably should take off the rear valance and just replace the muffler. If it has holes in it there is no need to keep it and I wouldn't try to drive off all that oil it could catch fire. If its dripping that is way too much to try and drive off. You could also take off the headers and allow them to drip free of oil too by just hanging them. Have you checked to see if your head studs are still on the engine?
