A very rare adjustable Koni Special D steering damper for early 911/912. This information is from Koni N/A, from their 1978 catalog: #76E-1227 is for 912/912, 65-68, adjustable rate, Sept. '65-Aug '68 Series A. You can verify this from Koni, tel. # 859-586-4100-5-3. It is in the catalogue dated as mentioned above.
This appears to be new, with some minor imperfections in the paint - small chips, etc. It is adjustable, and works smoothly, although I had to stroke it a few times to get the air out of the oil. It is marked "Made in Holland, #76E-1227, 607". I can supply additional pictures if needed.
