I'm in Albany, New York tonight, and am scheduled to be here until Monday night.

-I rented a car and drove downtown tonight, and I was not impressed by this city.

The car: Pontiac G6.

My take: The same cheap plastic that they used on my parents '89 Bonneville, and a push-rod engine to boot. I think this motor is 60 degrees, which means it is a descendant of the 2.8 liter chevy Citation motor from 1982.

[What is it about this company? It seems like everything needs to be based upon some design from at least 3 decades ago~]

This car drives nice, but it doesn't handle well. The steering is too quick, has no feel, and the brakes? You think about braking and that is probably enough! The last car I drove with brakes like this was a Citroen Xantia with hydraulic brakes. As a Citroen..... it at least had an excuse~

They stopped buildiing the "Grand Am" and started building the G6. BOTH are terrible quality! Based upon what I see with this car, I'm not surprised that gm is in bankruptcy. The switch gear is half as good as the plastic knobs on the room air-conditioners at the hotels I stay at. It is probably true that the plastic used on model airplanes is the same as some gm parts. What the hell? They build crap like this and suddenly they are in bankruptcy court....

-Hello?

N!
