That's super conservative. If you can find a clutch kit for that car for $400 (Pelican charges $550 for it) and don't do anything else at all while you're in there, then you might not be that far off. Last time I DIY'ed a 911 clutch (when prices were far lower), I had quite a list of while-you're-in-there stuff and I am as cheap a shopper as they come. Don't forget the DMF, the ring gear, a valve adj., oil change, maybe CV boot kits/repack, clutch slave, rear main seal, etc. Easily $1000 DIY job if you only want to take that engine out one time.
