bleeding clutch line, no engine installed

I took my clutch line off because I thought it was needed when I dropped my engine. I have a chevy LS1 and its really tight. So I wanted to bleed the line before I install the engine. Im a novice at this stuff. I have a pressure bleeder, can I just pressure bleed it ( with no engine ). Do I have to put a c-clamp on it to keep the hydraulics from popping apart? I wanted to do this before I install the engine. Im not sure the best way to do it with the engine not holding the clutch parts in place.

PS: I have to torque the bolts that connect the clutch to the flywheel, I do not know the specs. Im pretty sure its a porsche clutch\pressure plate. The flywheel isnt but that shouldnt matter. Does anyone know the torque specs? The manual I have doesnt seem to have it.
