Ah, I thought you'd posted the pictures backwards. You can't really tell the bottom pic is the repair. Glad it was inexpensive both of property and you. Really, probably the perfect lesson. Just painful enough for you to remember but relatively cheap.

When I was much younger, I had a similar lesson driving drunk. That one time was enough to wake me up and teach me a lesson and the cost was just a replaced tire/wheel and headlight.
