I am a project director but don't work directly on those specific ones in the Frontline piece. Currently I'm working on a mobile counter IED trainer designed for E1-E5/O1-O3 that combines narrative storyline, wall displays and a red vs. blue game experience. For this I worked with collaborators and subject matter experts to come up with the learning objectives and overall approach, wrote a 30 page script that we shoot next week, will end up producing and co-directing that, and also am supervising the physical build of the mobile environments. I wear a lot of hats. Tonight going through graphic displays and giving the artist guidance on fonts (I'm picky about legibility). We're in production now, 12 hour days are the norm, and I had a 20 hour day last week that nearly killed me.
I have a couple of other things going as well like embedding cultural annotations into artificial intelligence environments so that simulations can easily include cultural aspects. And other stuff is in the pipeline or percolating. Always looking for the next interesting project.
I love my job. Even when it drives me crazy.
