I HATE Vista.
As a highly technical person who derives their living from IT related stuff I can tell you that this bloatware is crap.
I am running the following at home now:
Ubuntu. (Awesome)
Mac OSX (Very Good)
Windows7 (far superior to Vista)
If it wasnt for games there would be no Microsoft here. I have been a long time MS disciple, but the competition has elevated its game. MS has not. Windows7 is a proper version of Vista, but not new.
Vista takes forever to enumerate large directories, has huge resource consumption and is overall annoying.
Windows7 is MUCH better.
For those who aren't fans of OSX, let me tell you that it has been rock solid. It has NEVER crashed and our MacMini has an uptime of 5 9's. It would be 100% but we lost power due to a hurricane last year.
