I am going to try and find the post I did here (may have been when I was Singpilot) about 'stumbling' into the site when buying a set of Fuchs from an ad while in NYC not long after 9/11.
I bought them from the guy whose property the plane came down on. I would have said 10 to 15 acres would have handled it. He said he had already been told he was going to lose it to eminent domain. But he wanted as far away from there as possible, so that was OK with him.
The Pittburgh PCA came in and 'rescued' his P-car stash (took 8 semi loads full). I got them involved after he said he was gonna walk on it all. I heard he found a place and had picked up the hobby again.
I'll see if I can find the post, or resurrect it from my own archives.
