I don't know if it's the same guy, but the shop I used to work at had one of these. It was in an old BMW. The shop owner took it out and sold it in 2006 for $40,000 in pieces. It was just a "standard" 1500cc variant and not for a 904 or anything special.
My understanding is that Wellington is retired, but maybe he's got some old stock that he's decided to liquidate.
If I needed an engine gone through, or even if I was trying to find one, I would get in touch with Bill Doyle up in Jackson Hole at Rennwagen. He's really the top 4 cam man in the country these days.
