At the prospect of 69 ignition switch (without steering lock) NLA, I attempted to install a universal switch.
Well, I got the engine to crank, fuel pump to operate with ignition, and the car nearly started. But the starter seems to want to continue to crank! So I shut down for fear of burning the starter up.

The car sounded loud also.
What next? Any ideas appreciated. The inoperable switch is 8276/2, and I am attempting to use a universal switch as a replacement for it.
