...went suprisingly well. About 80 kids showed up. Well behaved bunch. We made it clear we weren't serving alcohol and anyone who we discovered drinking or stoned had to give us their car keys and agree to sleep over. Only had about 10 we had to make stay.
They had the backyard all lit up with tiki torches, cooked out, had a DJ on one of the decks who played until 1
o a.m. Wife and I hosted all our neighbors in our front yard for cocktails under tents so we never received any complaints.
Smartest thing I did was to call shift commander for that night to tell him about the party and invited all patrolmen on duty that night to feel free to stop by, check it out and have a bite to eat. None availed themselves but several patrol cars would drive by during the nite and wave.
Go ahead and ban me....no pics forthcoming. Gogar will be relieved
