When i went out as a freshman for my HS football team as a halfback, the starter was a kid named Blair Thomas.
I saw no point, so did not pursue it.
Blair would later go on to become Penn State's all time leading rusher and the #2 pick overall in the NFL drack....several picks ahead of Emmit Smith.
