Fountains are coming. The principal family member is in Mexico today setting up some additional production of concrete products including fountains.
I see the possibilities you do, but the terra cotta has to be made more water proof to hold water indefinitely. I'm trying to keep it simple and they are trying to make a much bigger offering in terms of product.
Planting of the pots services are possible as well, but I would think the better thing to do is buy a 5 to 15 gallon plant at the nursery and drop it in the pot. They are designed to hold the common sizes of commercially grown plants.
It seems odd, but the product is moving quickly in spite of the economy. That might be because more people are less inclined to pay retail nursery prices for the pots. I can see by my surveys that the mark up at a high end nursery is like 150 to 200%. It's closer to 100% at discount nurseries including the Home Depot.
However, the designs
aren't there. Here's one more page and I'll quit using up Wayne's bandwidth.
