well, I went ahead and traded my non-op Moto Morini to a local guy who collects Italian bikes for a running 1978 CB750 with 9800 miles. So now I have (2) maroon CB750s. The bike is in good shape, it needs new tires, has a slight oil weep at the front(head may need re-torqued), and runs on half-choke--I attribute this to the cheap Emgo pods that were installed without any jet work. But, it does run nicely and wears the original paint and exhaust. The flip-up sissy bar/luggage rack, king and queen seat, pods, crash bars, and "official grab-on" bars and grips have all got to go. I am thinking a mild Cafe on this consisting of an original-style seat, drag bars, and possibly re-working the tail while I convert the 76 into the full-blown Cafe(now that I have my Dunstall seat back from the upholstery shop) and finish hunting down my charging issue
Onto the pics:
On a further note--the guy I traded with has an INCREDIBLE bike collection. He has 20-25 machines, mostly Moto Guzzis, Laverdas, Benellis, and Morinis--these bikes were sick--(3) had less than 25 miles! including a Benelli Quattro with 16 total miles. He had several 6-cylinder Benellis, an ultra-rare Moto Morini K6, and a Guzzi he saved from a house fire that runs like a top, but features melted guages/signals Just a real nice collection(he didn't want me taking any snaps, but he did BS with me for about 2 hrs. while showing off the machines). Incredible.
