My wife dropped her BB 8130 into a 3 inch puddle of mud at a construction site during a deluge. It lay there for about 1 1/2 hours before she found it.
She of course tried to wipe it off and turn it on, NG.
When I got home I completely disassembled it. There was mud and grit in places you could not imagine.
Once clean and dry it worked flawlessly.
The keys are pressure sensitive and you may have baby gunk under the rubber pad that needs to be addressed.
Or just get the iPhone, love mine.
