My new car is home.

Well this afternoon, I picked up my 1980 911SC. This is the car that has been sitting for the most part parked in a garage for the past 4 years.
I put fresh gas in and some fuel injector cleaner, and a quart of oil. Brakes were firm and I have a new AAA membership so I took off on the 75 mile drive home with my son on my tail.

She ran a bit rough at first. But smoothed out as she warmed up.

It's been awhile since I drove an older Porsche. Took me a bit of time to get used to the clutch and limited foot space for my size 12 Wide feet. But I got it.

Engine ran pretty good considering that half the gas tank was full of 4 year old gas. Ran strong and pulled hard.

Saturday I will change the oil, adjust the valves, and hopefully flush and replace the brake fluid. If I have time I will drain and fill the Transmission (what is the best fluid to use in the trans).

I am starting my list of repairs.
#1. Track down the short in the window switches. Probably just a fuse but I got the impression that it has blown before so the hunt begins.

Any suggestions/tips would be greatly appreciated.

I'll get pictures on Saturday and post them.
