Top priority, inspect the timing belt and cam gear timing.
Noid lights are about $15 or less for a cheap set. Plugs into wiring harness instead of an injector and lights up with injector pulses. First use a piece of rubber hose, each injector should make a nice similar to the others clicking sound.
