Trouble you may have Spliffc is that Ca regulation on muffler shops got WAY stricter this past January, so it may be hard to get any shop to touch the cat forward area. As I understand it all the universal cat exceptions have been tossed out, and EPA now want only factory or approved factory equivalent direct replacement parts going on (bolted to bolted no welded).
One local shop that used to do 928 exhausts flat out said not touching them until the EPA rulings are more sorted out.
