Up until January cats could be "universal" so a single model fit essentially everything from a Honda to a Corvette. Now the CARB EO# must be vehicle specific, which I think means tested on each vehicle model. Also the cats have to have a 50k mile warranty.
Yup, this is correct as this is why I bought a Magnaflow Cat with numbers/letters on the bottom. They checked when I smogged.
