From the (very) small bit of knowledge I've accrued from a locksmith buddy over the last 30 years, I think you're going to have to bite the bullet and pull the lock.
A buddy of mine had one of those in the mid-80's, he traded it on a 1000 Ninja as he thought I was too fast for him on my 550 GPz (his problem was solved).
I have a free rear wheel for the thing in my shop if you find yourself in my town, you shouldn't be too far away.
