Wow, that's too bad. I know it works that way around here and I'm sick of it. Yet, when we get in the car for any kind of drive over 30 minutes, I hear all the drivel.
This is the way I have heard it works:

Average minds discuss events.
Small minds talk about people.
10 minutes of people talk is enough. Move up or shut up.
