I bet way more than 1% drop their phone in a body of water of some sort. All it takes is having it fall out of a pocket into a puddle while you're running to your car. That can happen to anyone.

And i'm sure way more than 1% of them will have batteries go bad.

It's obvious what apple designs the phone for is to make you buy a new one if either thing happens.

No removable battery= no thanks.

PS: With the GPS trackers in new phones plus no ability to remove the battery, there is no way to "take yourself off the grid" if you want to move about anonymously and still have your phone on you. Just sayin'....
