The practical question is: Is it a porsche alarm? or is it that there used to be one and the key receptical location is still intact but it's not attached to anything. an after market/Viper/what ever?
My car has a Viper system installed and there is a little button under the stearing wheel (seperate from the alarm unit) that disables the system if you lose the key fob. There is a plugged hole in mine where the origional alarm used to be.
