take the cover off the back. jumper point 4 (labled Cs) to pin A. remove jumper. then connect your MM ( ohms) to the same 2 points. the metter should start "counting". the resistance will get higher and higher until it reaches an open or close to it, been a while since i checked one. if your MM does nothing, the capacitor is bad. if it shows a dead short, it is bad. thats really about all i can go thru with you with out getting into it deep. try the test a few times just to make sure.
