cherries, that's all focker ("are you a pot head focker?" reference). bought a cherry tree knowing that it took two to tango with the cross-pollenation deal. there are a few in the hood i know of but after reading my western gardening book i found you needed specific types to get the cross pollenation right.
the tree i got is four different types of cherry graft onto a single stock. each of the four offs the main trunk was a different variety of cherry according to the way they were tagged & paint color coded. did not figure that out til i got home and it was in the groundconfused:... do you suppose that since there will be four different strains in this same tree it might provide the cross pollenation i need? of the four varieties one according to the gardening book is a "self pollinator" so maybe this helps my cause?
a shot of the grapes, orange, nectren & new kidd on the block..
any hayseed's out there know a lick about what hopefully will some day be a SWEET producer...
