Ok, that makes sense.

I do love the drive-faster approach... but it usually isn't an option in LA traffic. Last time I got caught in a freak rainstorm I bee-lined for the nearest parking garage. Back seats got wet but not too bad. Still, I can see the encounter now:

"I'm sorry officer, I know I ran that red light but if I stop moving I get wet. You understand, right?"
