Camper On or Off For Smog Test?

I'ts time for another Calif. smog test on my beloved 1977 Ford truck. I keep a Lance camper on it and use it often. I have always taken the camper off for the smog test and have always passed but this year I find myself without a decent place to store it while the truck is being tested.
My thinking has been that since it is much harder for the engine to move the truck with the camper on it is using more fuel and thus more emissions.
Now I'm wondering........when the truck goes on the dyno rollers for the test, does the engine have to work harder because there is more weight because of the camper? I'm confused.
Note...on the hwy. it gets 15 mpg empty/ 10 mpg with the camper.
For those of you not from California, they test our vehicles under load at certain speeds.
What do the experts say?
Camper on or off?

Don
