While I can't say I "get" auto-erotic asphyxiation and can't say I've ever known anyone who was into it (to the best of my knowledge) it seems no more deviant than, say, using handcuffs or having a three-way. Not my thing, but definitely not a "deviant perversion" that would necessitate psychological help.
