Don't be silly. Nature has no mechanism for changing anything. Only man and his horrible greedy actions control the world.
Seriously, The whole 'space weather' field is fascinating. I have heard that a a decrease in solar storms actually increases our exposure to cosmic radiation. ...due to less 'solar wind' activity.
