Older adults CAN be stubborn:
My mother (who was in her 70's at the time) was stopped for running a red light on a residential street in town. She says it was actually yellow and turned red as she was halfway through the intersection, anyway...
the 'young' officer writes her up and while standing beside her car, asks: "What kind of car is this?"
Response: "You mean to tell me they let you be a policeman and you can't tell one car from another?
