She had it coming. The officer's requests for compliance were perfectly reasonable, delivered calmly, and completely ignored. Nine times.
If a 72 year old woman expects to be treated with the respect she feels is due her age, she first has to act her age. It's o.k. to let the guy have her opinion on the matter, but she does have to comply with his instructions.
I suspect from the strength of her reaction that she felt she did nothing wrong, i.e. she was not speeding. Believe me, I fully sympathize with her feelings of helplessness, if that is indeed what was happening. It's a no-win situation for the citizen these days when ticketed. As more and more come to realize the fact that we are now denied due process, and that the police have no burden of proof whatsoever in court, frustration will continue to mount. More and more traffic stops will turn in this direction as more and more citizens get ensnared in this un-Constitutional little revenue scheme.
That said, I don't think this was the case with this woman. I think she is just a cranky old bytch.
