went antique browsing with my wife, and had a good time?
my wife saw this huge group antique sale going in a park. she really wanted to check it out. i gave up and pulled the u-turn.
well, working quickly past all the blue hairs selling plates and cheapo costume jewelry, i found a group of seasoned, grizzled TOOL GUYS! damn. they had some really cool stuff. i found two antique 10" hi carbon chef knives. super sharp. i shaved my arm hair with one. the handles were tight, but beaten. he wanted $30, which i felt was high. he also had military stuff. he had this WWI, artillery aiming device, a that is a mix between a compass and theodolite.. what almost took my money was an old german switchblade. someone broke the blade but he found a correct replacement blade. apart $100, he rebuilds it $200. i got away with a simple $5, 1940's hi carbon butchers knife in excellent condition. it will be put into large game butchering service. i sharpened it like a lazer in seconds. it is made by forgecraft.
i may let a pro put a longer life edge to it. mine folds over quick.
