Shyte another SPOON collector is born...
Next ya will be telling us of all the Spoon scores ya made at those sales....AND your next stop is to find those weekly estate auctions...you start with those and you are done...as they say once you do black you can't go back...
YOu know how much good stuff is sold at those auctions..and once you see the prices vs what you pay in the store...you ain't never payin WASP retail again...
Back in sept 97 I started with those weekly Abells Auctions in SO CA...geezus the art I scored back then...$550 for a then $7000 painting, (last year that was a $20,000 painting), and every week it was more of the same...
When istarted I had a Davenports Art Price Guide of listed artists...today ya just go to Art Net or Ask Art on the Net...that is to check out the style and genre of the artist along with his price structure...and a good eye for quality...thats it...
