I'm excited to be a new member of Pelican Parts. You all are a tremendous source of information, inspiration, and fun.
I own an '84 930S Factory Slantnose delete with Ruf 3.4 L conversion ~450 HP/450 ft/lbs at 1.15 bar; K29S turbo; Andial ring and pinion, transaxle, fuel enrichment, 33,000 original miles. I'll try to include some pics if I can figure it out.
I have the car at the mechanics doing some routine maintenance. Clutch cable snapped in the parking lot. Ouch. Clutch was almost dead, now really dead. My question: He wants to install an OEM 930 clutch. I'm fairly certain that there is a "high performance" clutch currently in the car (I'm not the original owner). I'm concerned that the OEM clutch is not up to the task. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
