I do too - on your 964 style car. They're my mirror of choice on impact bumper cars.
On a pre-impact bumper longhood...not so much. Again though that's just my opinion.
On a longhood style car my preferences include '73 or earlier stock mirrors, Vitaloni (sp?) style mirrors, or 935 mirrors. All 3 or which require welding up the holes left by SC flag mirrors during a backdate.
