Thought I would drag this one back up... I am now considering getting a "newer" P-car (keeping an eye out for a 993) and finding financing would be nice. The problem is that I cannot find anyone (including the 5 credit unions I have contacted so far) who will finance a car older than model year 2002. Plenty of CUs and the up2drive folks mentioned above will finance me for a used Cayman, but no love on the air cooled era. The newer P-car is by no means a necessity, but if I could get reasonable financing it would surely make for a fun summer! Any leads on specific credit unions etc?
I guess I should have been irresponsible with credit back when I had the chance
